This year’s Langerado Festival in Miami, Florida, has been canceled, the fest’s organizers revealed today in a statement. The seventh annual Langerado, scheduled for March 6-8th at Miami’s Bicentennial Park, was set to feature performances by Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Ryan Adams, Snoop Dogg, Deerhunter, Thievery Corporation and many more. “Sluggish ticket sales” were the reason for the cancellation according to the festival’s Website, as “Langerado’s independent local promoters, faced with a very tough decision in a dismal economy, canceled the 2009 event only after every possible option was exhausted.”

Well, I must be out of practice if I’m grabbing stories from the Queen of All Media, but bear with me as my new Macbook and I get to know each other and collectively shoot withering glances at my dearly departed desktop.
Perez Hilton, who suddenly cares about musicians like Ryan Adams, called the blogosphere’s attention to a very special entry on Cardinal Cave, an oft-updated vessel for Adams’ musings. Not only is he vacationing in Australia (lucky), he’s also snapping photos of a very tranquil Mandy Moore. You know, Hilary Faye? His ex who was apparently so famous he couldn’t deal with it? Chyeah, okay, it’s not like he was dating Britney Damn Spears, but I digress.
According to those ever-elusive “sources,” the picture is a reflection of their newly rekindled romance, as Adams has apparently gotten over his fear of fame and paparazzi (no easy feat). The plot thickens with a more recent post entitled “Smoking, Dentists and Love,” which features features Adams’ storytelling re: a person whom he loves “very very much” telling him to quit smoking, and the consequential gory details of his dental exploits. And it wouldn’t be a Ryan Adams blog without some yelling (at himself? at me?): “WHY AM I OVER-SHARING??????” Dunno, dude, but good for you, your teeth, and your girl … and for chrissakes, try not to lose to her DJ A.M. again, okay!?

Smoking, Dentists and Love
Hello.
I know that not too many people read this but I just wanted to put this out there ok?
I was a smoker for 20 years ( wow - hard to even write that!) and I quit over x-mas.
Someone I love very very much asked me to quit. It was, for me, more than enough of a reason to quit. So I quit, no help, no questions, no band aid. I just stopped.
So today I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned, which was something I was very much looking forward to because after a month a non-smoking me realized how awful my teeth and mouth had become from years of smoking.
I can safely say I asked the dentist here “how bad was it” and told them how I had smoked heavily for so long.
The response was shocking. My dentist said ” I won’t lie, it was pretty bad”
Now I have clean teeth and at least a shot at maintaining some dental health.

This is LAME and PROBABLY NOT COOL TO SAY BUT-
IF YOU ARE A SMOKER, AND YOU ARE ON THE FENCE ABOUT IT and YOU WANT TO QUIT- JUST KNOW THIS…..I DID IT, and I AM A WHINING CRY-BABY AND I DID IT-
and just know this- YOU CAN DO IT TOO- IF I CAN DO IT YOU CAN!!!
and if you are happy smoking no problem, I get it.I AM HAPPY I MADE THIS CHANGE, I MISS SMOKING SURE BUT STAYING HAPPY AND HEALTHY IS WAY MORE IMPORTANT-
